Make A Wooden Plane

In this class you will start off with a jatoba blank and go through the process of properly milling and cutting it.  Next we will layout the core piece and cut it at specific angles and measurements.  After making a cross pin we will glue it up and put it in a set of clamps.  While the glue cures you will sharpen the stout blade getting it ready for fine shavings.  Once dry, the customization of your plane is all that is left before taking those first few passes over a piece of wood.

Time: Approximately 12 hours

Cost: $450.00 - includes instruction, blade and jatoba blank
